Patch notes and planned demo updates
Thank you everybody who has played through the demo! Just wanted to provide a quick little update to let everybody know that the Windows build is now up to date with the web build and the odd falling physics under certain circumstances has been fixed.
Things I'll be looking into for the next patch
- Getting some sort of gamma / brightness adjust in game, some people are currently unable to play the game due to it being so dark and there being no way for brightness adjustment
- Tweaking some of the messaging in the tutorial
It seems like a number of people have gotten confused by the "Use the bonfire's light as a sword" message in the tutorial, and a lot of people seem to generally not be fond of the tutorial. I'll be tweaking this and possibly redoing the tutorial
- More clearly communicating the ending sequence to a player
A number of players have struggled with the final sequence and had the game just end in a black screen as a result. I plan on making it more clear what it is you're supposed to do in that section of the demo and providing an alternative ending for players that struggle with it.
- Linux build
expect this out by the afternoon, I just need to give the game a quick playtest to ensure there's no issues
- OSX build
I can do this on request, contact me here on Itch or leave a comment and I'll get you one. I currently have no way to playtest an OSX build of the game so I'd like to hold off on that for the time being.
This is of course in addition to cranking out more content for the full release of the game!
